Will an eSIM work on my phone?
Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked for use with another mobile provider. Check the exact model and the country where it was purchased: similarly named models can have different eSIM support. Use our compatibility guide, or contact support before buying if you are unsure.
Do I install before I fly, or after I land?
Installing an eSIM, turning on its line and connecting to a network are different steps. Before installing, check the activation instructions for your selected package or ask support to confirm when its validity begins and any installation deadline.
Can I keep my regular number while I’m abroad?
Yes. The Sīrū eSIM runs alongside your physical SIM or primary eSIM. Calls and texts on your home number still arrive; mobile data just routes through Sīrū.
What happens if I run out of data mid-trip?
Check whether your selected package supports top-ups. Before buying more data, review the options in My eSIMs or contact support to confirm the right package, expiry conditions and whether it uses the existing profile.
Is there a speed cap?
Actual speed and reception depend on the selected package, your device, location and network availability. Unlimited packages can have a full-speed allowance followed by a reduced speed. Check the allowance and speed-reduction details for the exact offer before buying.
What about tethering / hotspot?
Supported on most plans. Each plan page shows whether hotspot is included — look for the tethering badge. When it is, you can share your connection with a laptop or a travel partner’s phone at no extra cost.
How is this priced compared to roaming?
Depends on your home carrier. For most EU and North American travelers, a Sīrū plan costs 60–90% less than the equivalent roaming charge for the same amount of data. Every plan is flat-rate per-destination — no overage traps.
